Vroom Vroom

Rachel had fun crawling on the car. It must be time to get a toddler climber if she is clilmbing on everything - even the car! Posted by Picasa

Mowing

Dad and Lauren invented a new circular style of mowing Saturday! Lauren really had a good time riding around with Pa and even steered the mower a little!

3 Knuckleheads at the Boardwalk

I took this picture at the WDW Boardwalk Hotel in 2004. Tom and Dad found someone that could talk at their level! :-) Posted by Picasa

Don't look behind you!

Here is a neat picture from our trip to Chicago last year. We had a great time at the Lincoln Park Zoo! Posted by Picasa

One of my favorite pictures of Lauren

Dad snapped this picture during our first trip to WDW with Lauren. The amazing thing about this picture is that Lauren had just hit her mouth on the brass pole 1 minute before the picture. She was so excited to be on the horse that she bumped her head...she made a quick recovery for the picture! Posted by Picasa

Lauen and Jessie

I took this today after fixing the pipe that feeds water to the toilet in our second bathroom. Jessie spends the night in that bathroom each night and thought that the plactic pipe would make a good chew toy. We woke up to a mess in the bathroom and a happy JRT. Grandpa was a huge help replacing the pipe (it is braided stainless steel so we should be safe)!!!

I had a chance to play with the camera Friday night and today and I am really happy with it. I love the zoom and how fast it takes pictures. It also does a nice job at night and the great quality movies is an extra bonus (they are even stereo!!). I had been thinking about returning it and getting a digital SLR, but I think the S3 will do everything we need and then some...and the extra lenses get really expensive. Dad and I talked a little and he said that he would never go back to an SLR because he doesn't want to carry all the extra lense which is something I worried about too. Posted by Picasa

Lauren...last January

One Saturday morning I snapped off several shots while Lauren played in her bedroom. We have a ton of great pictures from her at this age...she loved to smile for the camera. Now she thinks it is fun to turn away as soon as the camera turns on. Posted by Picasa

New blog feature

I am playing with Picasa2 (a new to me photo app from Google). I like Adobe Photo Album better for organziation...at least so far. Picasa does have a really easy way to publish pictures to the blog so from time to time I will post a random picture.

This picture was taking at Kings Island over the weekend using our new camera! Posted by Picasa

Knock knock jokes according to Lauren

Lauren: Knock knock...Who's there?

Grammy: No, I am supposed to say who's there.

Lauren: Knock knock.

Grammy: Who's there?

Lauren: ...

Grammy: You are supposed to tell me who you are.

Lauren: Knock knock.

Grammy: Who's there?

Lauren: Who you are? :-)

From Ormond Beach to Kings Island

I had a really good trip and enjoyed spending the week with
the Martens. They were great hosts! I enjoyed hearing about the early days at HK. The project went really well, but I did find a wireless problem that I wasn't able to fix before I left. They were really good about it...I still felt bad though.

The flight back was pretty uneventful until I got to Indy. Delta left my suitcase in Daytona. Normally it wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but Chris and Lauren were waiting to take me to Kings Island for the weekend. I had to send them on ahead and wait. I would have caught them at the Cracker Barrel they stopped at, but the plane bringing them up was an hour late. I made it safe and sound to the hotel with just a few minutes of battery left on the iPod...and promptly crashed in the room.

Today we headed to the park and spent the morning at the water park. The kids had a great time and I got some really good picks with the new camera (I bought a Canon S3 IS in Daytona)! We are heading back to the park after they take naps.

Live from Ormond Beach!

So far the projects are going really well. I have a ton of loose ends to tie up, but I should be able to wrap them up at a decent time tonight. The biggest thing left is connecting their phone system to ours and the technician is supposed to be here by 10.

Rainer and Julie have been great hosts and I even met Julie's mom last night. Miriam made an excellent dinner for us! I didn't bring a camera so I don't have any pictures to post, but it has been beautiful here.

I am excited to get home to see all of you!!!

Days Inn

I made it save and sound to the Days Inn late last night and got a pretty good nights sleep. The hotel could use a few updates, but it is clean. It also three critical things...free WiFi...a great shower...and a good bed (much better than the W). Off to the airport!!

Busy week coming up

I'm excited today is Friday but I'm already exhausted for what's ahead.

Next week things are going to get crazy. So I plan to get as much done around the house I can tonight and tomorrow. Beginning Sunday we have two birthdays to celebrate: Aunt Mary and Chelsea. Aunt Mary and I are going to go to a Dinner Theatre at the Beef House. I'm really excited. The show is called Forever Plaid. www.foreverplaid.com Then we will be celebrating Chelsea's 10th birthday.

Also this week my dad will be having a heart catherization. I really concerned about what will
