Out of the Whirlwind

Boy, May was crazy, and it's gonna be for the rest of our lives. We got through graduation for Kaley, painting Lauren's bedroom and celebrating Lauren, Brad and Rita's birthdays. Painting Lauren's bedroom was an exhausting job. I thought it was only going to take us one day and oh my! it took us two full days. I planned it the week of the birthday parties so that I could have a long weekend to get ready for everything but we still ended up working past midnight every night: painting and cleaning. Let's just say that we won't plan any painting jobs around other events or even have separate birthday parties again.

June is now here and we seem to be busy still. We did have a quiet weekend probably because it was cold and rainy. The midwest weather has been quite unpredictable, going from high 90's to low 50's. Lauren is hoping to get back in the pool soon. The past few times it was not so warm. Personally I like it when the sun is beating down and the water feels like bath water. So when it's not so warm Brad is her swimming buddy.

Brad will be going to Florida sometime in July or August for work. It would be nice to go but I just don't think I can swing it with the little vacation time I have left. So we will let Brad enjoy the Florida sunshine by himself. We will get down there some day. The three of us are going to Chicago at the end of July for our anniversary. We are really excited about that trip. Lauren loves the train ride. Not having a vehicle to deal with in the city always sounds good to me. Although I do enjoy stopping at Fudrucker's for a burger.

I will try to get Brad to update our website with pictures of Lauren. She is growing like a weed. I'm not quite sure of her height as she has only been measured at the doctor's office. She is definitely off the height chart for her age. She is "practically perfect in every way." But she has turned 3 now and testing her parents at all times. We've been told 3 is harder than 2. We will see how "practically perfect" she is.
